Dear friends,

 

I'm really elated to have completed the London Marathon for WDCS in 4 hours 11 minutes, in a dolphin costume! I trundled, wheezed and panted my way round the 26.2 mile course – the world’s sweatiest dolphin! A huge thank you to everyone who has sponsored me, and there’s still time to make a donation if you haven’t already!

 

One of my lingering memories of my own time in filming Monty Halls' Great Escape, is the dolphin encounters I enjoyed over the course of a wonderful summer.

 

Sadly, some of the UK's most loved animals, the bottlenose dolphins of the Moray Firth, are now under serious threat. This small and vulnerable group of dolphins face many dangers, including the potential oil and gas exploration inside a special sanctuary set up to protect them.

 

I want to do what I can to protect these animals, which is why I decided to run the London Marathon dressed as a dolphin and raise as much money as I can to help WDCS in their campaign to Protect Our Dolphins.
