James and Adam are taking part in the 2009 Africa Rally, driving a 1996 Peugeot 106 from the Top Gear Test Track in Surrey 6,500 miles to Limbe Cameroon.
Travelling through 12 countries in 27 days we will be attempting to raise £1,000 for our chosen charity, Send a Cow.
Send a Cow do fantastic work in Africa, providing livestock to local people, offer veterinary services and teaching the recipients how to care for their animals. This provides deprived people with the opportunity to become self sufficient in the long term. We have chosen to support them because they aim to find long term solutions to help people battle poverty rather than a short term solution.
