My story

Hello & Thanks for visiting Morgan Ashurst's Three Peaks fundraising page and a MASSIVE thank you all who have donated so far, But lets not stop now.

24 hours of hard work and determination is nothing compared to the lives of the people the COINS Foundation are trying to help, so please help us to help them by making a donation.

As you can see from our team photo we completed the challenge, climbing the 3 peaks in under 24 hours (22:47 officially) and more importantly raising plenty of money for those who desperately need it.

Allow me to re-introduce you to your Morgan Ashurst team.

1st up.. Dave "The Grinder" Salter.. a former championship jockey for Crown Prince Abduhlla of Saudi Araibia, Dave now spends his spare time tending his prize winning giant leeks at his country retreat,.

Name recently changed to "The Grinder" due to his incredible ability to keep moving forward and grinding it out. If he did complain NOBODY HEARD HIM, what a man

Next.... Ian "Crusty" Baker..(best nickname on the firm) At the age of three Ian won a scholarship to the world renowned Chinese school of table tennis where he reached Grandmaster status by the age of 8. He had a glorious career culminating in the now legendary 1988 world final against his former mentor Wei Qingguang (google him, its true).

Ian certainly used the mental toughness he learnt at such a young age to help us in the battle agasinst the peaks. Determined to the end to never give up. Leading Foot Doctors, after inspecting his feet, have renamed chronic toe damage as "Crustification of the toes"  only time will tell if this condition is curable!

Thirdly A man who needs no introduction, and now a living legend, but here goes

Martin "Major Issues" Wooders..The youngest man ever to climb the north face of Portsdown Hill in 1976, Martin has made a career of proving people wrong. He has single handedly skateborded the length of the great wall of China on 19 occasions the last time wearing only a Mankini and Flip Flops! Martin we bow to your greatness!.

Martin epitomised the teams spirit by never giving up or taking a backwards step. The cries of "Marty's Back" ringing through the mountains gave us all hope on many occasions. His rendition of Fernando will NEVER be forgotten by those lucky enough to hear it!

Last and definitely Least Team Leader

Matt "Lord" Broad. A former body guard to President Nixon Matt was granted the title of Lord by King  Bhumibol Adulyadej of Thailand during a Presidential visit, During the late 70s Matt removed himself from society to an order of Trappist Monks where he took a vow of silence for 14 years, he has spent the rest of his life making up for this lost time! A former downhill rolling champion Matt needs to turn his attention in the opposite direction to meet this Mammoth task!!

He is sure that the team will agree that:

1. "This is a doddle" 2. "We have broke the back of this one." 3. "We will be back down in less than an hour" 4. "The summitt is just around this corner" and most importantly "If it doesnt kill you it makes you stronger!"

A man whose jaw  got the work out it deserved.

Back room Staff....

Following up from behind our trusty support crew

Ian "Monkey" Roberts... He created an atmosphere in the mini-bus with his fun personality and his bodily emmisions (scotch eggs apparently). Having claimed to have never cooked pasta he is now the Master of the Isotonic Carlsberg Cocktail and the Fun sized Chocolate Pot Noodle!. Paid for all the Diesel a great addition to any team.

Andy Voldermort Griffiss.. A man who needs no sleep and whose eyes are wired directly to the road! He may be a dark lord and need a licence for his face but a better team player you will not find, kept the team comfy and cared for at all times. If not a little bit scared.

Chief Fundraiser..Fiona Gallop..a former carbaret artist on the QEII she once raised over £4 million pounds in a single afternoon selling her delicious homemade scones!

Hopefully will be making many more trips to the bank to pay in donations, her help with all the presentations, emails and letters is greatly appreciated. Just a shame she lost the recipe to those scones!

If those factual insights made you laugh give us a Quid!

Seriously...........

We have all tried our Hardest to raise money for this deserving cause so please support us in any way you can!

And Thanks Again, we appreciate your support.
