On the 16th April 2009, I shall be setting off from Southampton to sail 2,000 miles to Tenerife. As an Amory Award Winner in 2007, myself and other crew members aboard the bermudan Ketch Rona II will be racing teams from across the globe. 

This presents a fantastic opportunity for us as a sail training organisation to help youthful members of our society; to build character, teamworking and leadership skills. We are all volunteers and everyone works extremely hard to perform at a competitive level.

Each one of us has to raise £1400 in total to go towards the costs of sending our ship across the Atlantic and back again.
