Hat and I both want to thankyou for clicking the link and even thinking about helping towards our £1000 target!
LCD (Link Community Development) are a great charity who are using the money they get wisely, and for a long term solution to the education problems in africa. For a better look at it, http://www.lcdinternational.org/ is the website. Have a gander, its good stuff!
The challenge is to get from Leeds to Marrakesh by hitchhiking! We set off sometime after the 15th March and should take roughly 6 days, although this could be longer if our luck is bad!
All the money donated goes to the charity, and we're funding our own trip, so this isnt just us asking for a free holiday!
The charity ask that each person raise £350 (so £700 between us) but we think we can top that!
If your unsure what to give, these figures might give you an idea!
£5 can provide a whole classroom of children with books to read and write in.
£10 can help build latrines.
£50 can sponsor a teacher to attend an HIV workshop.
