East Cheshire Hospice provides essential care, support and compassion to local adults facing life limiting illnesses. We rely on fundraising to pay for over 80% of our daily costs, and so you can be sure your support will make a huge difference to our patients, their families and loved ones.

Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit our JustGiving page.

Tom and I are running the London Marathon in aid of the East Cheshire Hospice on the 22nd April 2012.

The hospice is a charity that we have been involved with since our childhood. We lost an Aunt there at a very young age and our mum is a staff nurse on the ward. We are acutely aware of the need of fund raising and the amount required to actually run the hospice on a daily basis. The hospice gets less than 23% of its annual costs from the government and so has to fundraise nearly £6000 everyday just to keep going. Without fund raising the hospice could not offer the wonderful service it does.

Our aim is to raise £6000, as stated above this will run the hospice for one day, anything above this figure would be an added figure.

As you can see we plan the run the mararthon in our Morphs suits just to add to the challenge.

So please dig deep and donate now.
