Mencap wants a world where people with a learning disability gain an equal right to choice opportunity and respect. We believe that support for the families and carers of people with a learning disability is vital to achieving our vision

Story

Nobody has ever travelled the entire Argentinian Wine Trail before and I'm going to do it by bike. I'll be travelling about 3,000 km as the crow flies, between the Tropic of Capricorn (at 20 degrees South) and the southernmost vineyard in world (at 43 degrees South). The total expedition will be over 7,000km and will take a few months. More here: http://www.guardian-series.co.uk/display.var.658986.0.0.php

I'll be writing about it, blogging it and probably podcasting too. My other websites are: www.caroleedrich.com, www.webwandering.com and I'll be setting up a dedicated blog soon. There's no documented route, it's difficult to identify all the vineyards and different maps show paths that don't seem to match, but it will be fun. Travelling by cycle will enable me to get a real insight into the areas I traverse, some great shots and loads of stories.

To make this expedition possible I need personal sponsorship, so if you're interested in hearing about how the international publicity in 5 languages and 8 countries will benefit your brand, email me at
webwandering@hotmail.co.uk

If you want to show your support by donating to MENCAP, please use this page as the procedes will go straight to them.

...... Donating through this site is simple, fast and totally secure. It is also the most efficient way to sponsor me: Mencap will receive your money faster and, if you are a UK taxpayer, an extra 28% in tax will be added to your gift at no cost to you

Experiencing the tsunami made me re-evaluate my life. I decided to have more fun and help more people ... watch this space!

This blog is for fundraising and fun. It should be interesting... After all, I've not been cycling for that long...
