Cotopaxi volcano climb · 7 June 2006

Steps is the leading charity working for all those whose lives are affected by childhood lower limb conditions. Everything we do is about valuing and supporting individuals, families and carers affected by conditions which have an impact on the legs, hips or feet.

Story

Thank you for visiting my fundraising page! Welcome!

We are a group of 4 doctors from Liverpool who are attempting to climb Cotopaxi volcano, at 5897 metres, the highest active volcano in the world!! Lying among the Andean mountain range in Ecuador, it is even higher than Everest base camp! The route to the top is testing with much of the ascent over glacial ground, whilst the high altitude will test our efforts.

We are attempting this for two charities, Reach and Steps, which are involved in supporting children with upper and lower limb deficiencies and their families, providing resources and support. A worthwhile cause, I'm sure you'll agree. As well as fundraising, we have all embarked on a rigorous training regime! The photo is of myself (Right) and James who is also embarking on the ascent.

So please dig deep, as your money really will positively affect the lives of these children and their families. Any sponsorship through the page is, of course 100% safe & secure!!

Many thanks in advance.

Wish me luck!

Craig
