Story
Thank you for visiting my fundraising page.
In January 2007, 3 friends and I will be setting off to climb Mount Cotopaxi in Ecuador. Cotopaxi is the highest active volcano in the world standing at a massive 5897 metres (higher than Everest base camp!!)
The top of the volcano is covered in snow and ice so we will be learning how to ice climb with crampons and ice axes, as well as getting fit so we can actually make it as far as the icy part.
The reason for our climb is to raise money and awareness for two charities; REACH (a charity for children with hand or arm deficiency) and STEPS (a charity for children with lower limb disabilities). We each need to raise £2750 by November so please give as generously as possible.
Keep an eye on my website and I'll update it with our training and sponsorship progress, as well as any fundraising events we are organising. Please forward this page to anyone else you think would be interested in supporting our charity challenge.
If you have any questions or ideas to help us reach our goal you can email me at gleesonsuzie@hotmail.com or you can read more about the charities on their websites; www.reach.org.uk and www.steps-charity.org.uk
Donating through this site is simple, fast and totally secure. It is also the most efficient way to sponsor me: Steps Charity Worldwide will receive your money faster and, if you are a UK taxpayer, an extra 28% in tax will be added to your gift at no cost to you.
So please sponsor me now!
Thanks again,
Suzie x
