We are an appeal of the ICR and raise funds to make the discoveries that defeat cancer

Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

A few years ago I received a phone call from my younger brother, the purpose of the call was to inform me that he had testicular cancer. Quite a shock for me, goodness knows how he felt.Anyhow, moving on a few years my brother is keeping well and is due to have his last check up with his consultant in mid April. I had done a few fund raising activities after my brother had been diagnosed and now it is time to do another one. This time I am pushing myself (and believe me it is a real challenge for me) to hike 26 miles over mountains starting from Newcastle, Co Down over Slieve Donard, the highest point in Ulster, then following a path through and over some more mountains to finish in Kilbroney Park, Rostrevor. There will some 400 others doing the same challenge for their own worthy causes, but I hope you help me raise some needed funds for this worthy cause.  The big day is nearly here and I am hoping for suitable weather, a cool, cloudy, dry day would be perfect, here's hoping.

So please dig deep and donate now.

About the charity

Everyman Appeal

RCN exempt charity status
Everyman is an appeal run by The Institute of Cancer Research (ICR). Every year some 10,000 men lose their lives to prostate cancer and over 2,000 others have their world turned upside down by a diagnosis of testicular cancer. These men are the reason we are fundraising for male specific cancers.
