This is the official sponsorship page to receive direct donations for the Mouth Cancer Walk 2007.
Mouth Cancer Awareness Week will be running from Sunday 11 November to Saturday 17 November 2007. To mark the countdown to the Week the Mouth Cancer Foundation is organising a FREE sponsored 10K Walk on Sunday 14 October in Hyde Park, London, at 11am. Participants should arrive at 10am. Free mouth cancer screening will be provided by experts at the UCL Eastman Dental Institute using the mobile screening unit from King's College London Dental Institute.
Mouth Cancer Awareness is about raising public awareness of mouth cancer and drawing attention to the support needs of mouth cancer patients who suffer greatly. Mouth cancer patients suffer from various disabilities like facial deformity, loss of teeth, damage to tongue and throat with consequent difficulty in talking and eating in public places. Yet they do not receive the attention and support other cancers invoke. The Mouth Cancer Walk on 14 October is about (increasing) mouth cancer awareness and support for the survivors.
