Moving Mountains is a progressive charity with over 20 years experience, run by teams who are highly experienced in the development sector. We fund social welfare, educational and health projects in Nepal and East Africa, where we have set up our own NGOs.

Story

This Expedition was highly successful! Peter and Kelly summitted becoming the first Kenyans to do the western Breach and the team all reached the roof of Africa ! well done and thank you to everyone who donated ! We plan to hold another fundraiser climb next year if you are interested...

A team of people are climbing Kilimanjaro this year to raise funds for Moving Mountains, a charity which supports street children in Kenya and community projects in Nepal. Coming on the trip will be charity founder and Everest mountaineer Gavin Bate.

Also Peter Kariuki and Kelly Kioko, ex-street kids who are now in college in Nairobi and who want to celebrate the success of their lives since being sponsored from a young age, by climbing to the highest point of their continent.

The team will have a chance to visit the slums where Peter and Kelly came from and visit the schools and clinics built and run by Moving Mountains. They will really see how a charity works and how the kids benefit.

Thank you very much for your time and your donation !
