Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

Ho Ho GO! On Sunday 2nd December I'll be taking part in the annual Santathon 5km road race to raise money for St Francis Hospice. It may be "only" 5km but on a December Sunday morning in Dagenham with every runner dressed in full Santa Claus suite it's no casual walk in the park!

All participants and the event organisers from St Francis Hospice will be giving up a lot of time and effort to run the event in the hope of beating the £10,000 raised last year and making another dent in the £7.2m the hospice requires each year to continue providing the much needed help and care to its patients suffering from life-limiting illness.

I'm sure those of you who either already know of St Francis Hospice's work or visit their website will agree it's a very worthwhile cause. Any amount of small change you may be able to spare during the particularly expensive month of December will be greatly appreciated by both the Hospice staff and those who rely on their care on a daily basis to ensure a good quality of life.
