Story

This Just Giving page has been set up in memory of Mr. Martin Evans - an inspiring scholar, teacher, mentor, colleague, friend and a lover of apes!

Mr. Martin Evans was a senior Teaching Fellow in Marketing, at Cardiff Business School. A much respected colleague of all at the School, Martin made an outstanding contribution to research, teaching and worked as a consultant contributing to the knowledge in a variety of organisations for over thirty years. First and foremost, however, he was an educationalist who always put the needs and interests of his students at the top of his priorities. The academic communities at Cardiff University, Glamorgan, Portsmouth, Newcastle and the University of West of England, benefited from his dedication to teaching and to student welfare and he will be remembered with fondness by many.

Martin was also a lover of apes and the Monkey World Ape Rescue Centre in Dorset (UK). A centre for the rescue, rehabilitation, conservation and care of primates. To help fund the centre, Monkey World established a charity in memory of its founder, Jim Cronin MBE, to continue his legacy. This charity is called the Jim Cronin Memorial Fund.

In memory of Martin and in respect of his love of apes, Martin's family have requested that friends, colleagues and students wishing to do something in his memory, donate to his favourite charity, the Jim Cronin Memorial Fund, through this Just Giving page.
