<p>Here's what we might be able to buy with what we raise.</p> <p>&pound;400 loads of first aid gear. &pound;500 full clothing for a team member. &pound;600 years supply of rope.</p> <p>My name is Matt.&nbsp; I ran my first marathon in May of this year.&nbsp; I found it really hard and had to run the last 6 miles with cramp.&nbsp; I'm a gluton for punishment though and so in October I'll be running my first ultra (31 miles) to raise money for the Edale Mountain Rescue Team.&nbsp; I'll be running in Vibram Five Fingers which are often decribed as a "barefoot shoe" there's a picture on here - take a look, I'm sure you'll agree that 50 off-road kilometers won't be easy when wearing hardly any shoe.</p> <p>Like many people I often go to the Peak District for recreation, sometimes running or walking, climbing, or biking.&nbsp; When out enjoying the natural beauty of the Peak one doesn't have to do something stupid to end up in a situation where one would need the service of the Edale MRT.&nbsp; An accidental step into a rabbit hole could easily cause a sprain bad enough to need help getting to saftey.</p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p>Please donate to support a brilliant charity and to make my efforts count.</p> <p>For more information see <a title="my blog" href="http://www.legitaround.blogspot.com">my blog</a></p>
