A grand total of £731.10 was raised Christie's against Cancer and on their behalf may I sincerely say a BIG thank you to you all
On a personal note, thank you from my nephew [who by the way is making great progress] and I know my father would have been proud to know that I was doing something useful with my Sunday morning rather than lying in bed !
There were a total of 4,000 runners on the day - this is renowned as the best half-marathon in the UK - I took that to mean the easiest BUT how wrong I was !
The weather forecast was indicating wind and rain HOWEVER it changed from cold wind to sun to rain to hailstone !
Nonetheless, the race wasn't without event - which is usually the case in anything I'm involved in I finally STAGGERED across the finish line in 2hrs 40 mins ... this means I've got some serious training to get done in the next 4 weeks in readiness for the BIG one - yes ! you've guessed it .... London Marathon 2004 on Sunday 18 APril I hope to set up a similar website for that event and hope I an trust on your support Once again, many thanks for your support.
