My story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
Due to the tragic death of one of our De Vere Academy of Hospitality apprentices from an epileptic fit, we would like to raise enough money to buy a life saving epilepsy sleep alarm.
This alarm has 2 sensors which are placed underneath the mattress. When there is aggressive movement in the child’s bed for more than 7 seconds an alarm is activated through a wireless sensor in a family member’s bedroom. This could be potentially life saving for anyone that suffers from epilepsy. It costs £500 to buy an alarm. I appreciate that this is a lot of money at this time of year, but all I am asking for is a £5 donation to this worthy cause and helping save a life!
This money will go to the Muir Maxwell Trust who provides practical support to children and their families coping with severe epilepsy and to increase awareness and understanding of the condition. They have supplied 2000 of these alarms so far and we would love to help them make that 2001!
Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity and make sure Gift Aid is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a UK taxpayer. So it’s the most efficient way to donate - we raise more, whilst saving time and cutting costs for the charity.
So please dig deep and donate now.
