Hello! Thanks for visiting my page. I'll be updating this on a regular basis over the weeks so please come back from time to time. OK, here are the reason(s) I am doing this: I had always done a bit of running at school and liked to watch the marathon on TV with my dad. I remember thinking that I'd like to have a go one day. Well, the years pass by and although it has always been at the back of my mind, applying to run the marathon had just been another one of those jobs that I just hadn't got round to doing (like finishing the kitchen!!) The British Heart Foundation is important to me becasue my girlfriend Lauren's younger brother Thomas died when he was two, form heart problems he had since birth. Additionally my mother has been taking heart medicines for some years now and at the time of writing we are unsure as to whether she may require bypass surgery soon. Then, in September 2007 my dad was diagnosed with a treatable, but terminal cancer for which he is receiving periodic care from Macmillan nurses. individually, these are reasons enough, but together gave me the perfect excuse I needed to apply and luckily enough for me, I was accepted on my first application. I am also running to raise money for Macmillan Cancer Care, given the reasoning above. My page for Macmillan Cancer Care can found under www.justgiving.com/mumraa I realise everyone has a sob story, but if you could make a donation it would mean so very much to me. as both casues are very personal, I would ask that if you are going to donate, could you please split your amount between the two pages.
Donating through this site is simple, fast and totally secure. It is also the most efficient way to sponsor me: The British Heart Foundationwill receive your money faster and, if you are a UK taxpayer, an extra 28% in tax will be added to your gift at no cost to you.
So please sponsor me now!
Many thanks for your support.
