THANK YOU SO MUCH EVERYONE!!
Your donations have been a huge part of achieving this target. Buddhafield has been able to top up the total from other sources but in the main, it has been the amazing generosity of our wonderful sangha that has made it possible to help Mumukshu and Satyajit at this potentially wobbly (but hopefully potentially inspiring and creative) time. SADHU!!!
Mumukshu is leaving Buddhafield after 17 years. Many of you will know about her work in building up Buddhafield Café, and she has also been a pillar of Buddhafield in so many other ways. She was one of the first to come and establish the Buddhafield project in Devon, living in a bus with no pay, surviving on faith, passionate vision, and savings, for years before Buddhafield was able to pay her a minimal income. Mumukshu is an artist, and her skills brought a magical beauty to Buddhafield sites – spun from rags and imagination. Later, she took the risk of becoming a trustee, council member, and director of Buddhafield Café. This woman has worked really hard to create something so valued. Now Buddhafield wants to give her enough money to live on while she finds her feet for her future ventures – but spare cash is thin on the ground. Can you help? Over the next 6 months, we’d like to help raise £5,000 to keep her in the style to which she has er, become accustomed…Help her live simply for a year, with time to gather herself and develop a living, in thanks for all she has done. It is far less than she has given. Thank you. XXXX
