So I'm finally doing it! This year I have stayed away from broken collarbones and other injuries, and am well on my way to completing my first marathon (well - the training anyway!). For many years this has been a thought in the back of my head (running the big one), and it's exciting to finally be gearing up for it.
I'll be tackling the New Forest marathon on the 17th of September. You can check out the site on www.nfma.org.uk. I'll hopefully be joined by my buddy Chris.
Now to the purpose of the donations page; I picked the Alzheimer's society as my grandmother suffered from the disease in the last years of her life, and it would be fantastic to contribute something to research into the disease. In addition, the company I work for will contribute a further 30% on top of the money raised from this page.
However - I'd like this to be a page with a little difference. I don't need to raise money to run the marathon - I'm running it out of my own sense of lunacy - but I figured someone may as well benefit from it ! As I know how many of these sponsorship pages do the rounds every year, I also don't want to be a pain and make you feel pressured into donating.
So...
This site has a maximum donation limit of £5. Please don't feel obliged to give any money if you've done your annual charity donation - or just think I'm nuts 
However - there is no limit on the good luck wishes you can give, and crossed fingers you can have on the 17th - that would be much appreciated.
