Story
Having spent a long time trying to persuade other people to do physical exercise in the name of charity, it's about time I put myself out and did some running and got one of those medal things.
Overly warm weather and other slow coaches in front of me permitting, I'm aiming to get round the whole piddly distance of 5km (well, piddly compared to a marathon. Huge long never ending distance for a novice like myself). That's 3.1 miles for anyone working in old money. That's at least 30 minutes running without stopping. At the time of writing, I can manage...ooooh...about 2 minutes, so sponsorship would encourage me.
And, if you sponsor me, I have to put it on Raisers Edge, so the more you give, not only do I have to run round the park, I'll also have more work to do. One donation, twice my pain. Bargain.
Oh, and you get to help older people as well as laugh at me.
<= that there tells you what we do
The Gift Aid blurb (is there anyone who knows me who doesn't know about Gift Aid, honestly? I talk about it enough
):
Donating through this site is simple, fast and totally secure. It is also the most efficient way to sponsor me: Friends Of The Elderly will receive your money faster and, if you are a UK taxpayer, an extra 28% in tax will be added to your gift at no cost to you.
So please sponsor me now!
Many thanks for your support and please come to cheer me on in Hyde Park - Sunday 3rd September
Love Kate x
EDIT: I did indeed get round the park, it was hard work but I had a lot of fun. Thank you to everyone who sponsored me!
