Memory Walk
Campaign by Alzheimer's Society (RCN 296645)
This year over 110,000 people walk united, against dementia. We aim, with your help to raise over £9 million to help anyone affected by dementia.

Story

I am doing the Leamington Spa Memory walk on 7th October in aid of Alzheimer's and Dementia which is a horrible disease that many have and are suffering with. I am doing this walk with Team Moscrops, who are my in-laws to be for Grandma Moscrop. She is a wonderful lady who has sadly been affected by Dementia. In the last 8 years of knowing her she has always been active and been the life and soul of gatherings. Even in her early 80's she was still able to give me some great pointers on the ski slopes, showing how keen she was to still be out and about.

This is my first walking event that I have done, albeit a small one but will be a change to the normal suffering I put myself through of running half marathons or doing Grim challenges. All of which I have done to raise money for charities.

Your generosity will play a role in the efforts to help manage this illness.

Thanks in advance.

Around 225,000 people develop dementia every year – that's the equivalent to one person every three minutes. This September and October Memory Walks will be taking place across England, Wales and Northern Ireland to raise money for a world without dementia. Arm in arm, step by step and pound by pound, we will get there. Once you donate, Just Giving will send your money directly to the Alzheimer's Society. So it's the most efficient way to raise money – saving time and cutting costs for the charity. Please dig deep and help us walk for a world without dementia.
