Thank you for visiting my fundraising page. I will be cycling from Lands End to John O'Groats starting on 3rd June 2008, covering a distance of 1080 miles in 13 days. Lands End is the furthest southwestern point of mainland Britain and John O'Groats is the furthest northeastern point of mainland Britain. I will also be cycling through the most southerly point, Lizzard Point, and the most northerly point, Dunnet Head, of mainland Britain on my way to John O'Groats. I will be doing this trip solo and unsupported with the intention of raising money for Cancer Research UK. The Route: - Day 1: Lands End - Perranporth (70 miles) - Day 2: Perranporth - Elmscott (76 miles) - Day 3: Elmscott - Klive (75 miles) - Day 4: Klive - St Briavels (82 miles) - Day 5: St Briavels - Bridges, Long Mynd (72 miles) - Day 6: Bridges - Preston (104 miles) - Day 7: Preston - Mosedale (76 miles) - Day 8: Mosedale - Edinburgh (114 miles) - Day 9: Edinburgh - Caputh (66 miles) - Day 10: Caputh - Fort William (95 miles) - Day 11: Fort William - Inverness (85 miles) - Day 12: Inverness - Tongue (88 miles) - Day 13: Tongue - John O' Groats (77 miles) A Few Facts About Cancer: 1 in 3 people will get some form of cancer and over 150,000 people in the UK die every year from cancer. To put that into perspective that is the equivalent to a 9/11 attack every week!
There are over 400 types of cancer so the amount of work that has to be done is enormous but not impossible with the right amount of funding. So please, please sponsor me now.
Thank you, Dan
