Earlier this year my good friend Ken was diagnosed with Mesothelioma, a form of asbestos cancer that attacks the lining of the lungs. Mesothelioma is preventable, difficult to diagnose and treat, debiliating and incurable. By doing this ride I hope to raise some much needed funds to help this charity in their quest to support those who find themselves living with this disease.

My ride will be a challenge. 14 days of non-stop cycling, conquering around 70-80 miles a day over hills and flats, in sun and rain, but at least I know when the sun sets on the 16th August, my ride will be over. For Ken and others living with this disease their challenge continues on a daily basis.
