My moment of madness

Flora London Marathon 2007 · 22 April 2007 ·

Every day in the UK, another 240 people wake up to the catastrophic impact of a stroke. The Stroke Association is the leading charity in the UK providing lifelong support for all stroke survivors and their families.

Story

In a moment of madness (resulting from an early mid life crisis or a couple of sneaky pints, you decide) I, along with a good friend of mine, decided to take on the challenge of running the Flora London Marathon (22 April 2007) and very shortly afterwards the ascent of Mont Blanc (2-8 June 2007).  A further friend of ours will be joining us for the Mont Blanc ascent only. Strangely that will result in an Englishman Irishman and Scotsman climbing together.... I'll leave you to make up your own gag!

I will be undertaking both events in an effort to raise money for The Stroke Association charity. That is strangely where you come in!! If anyone would like to sponsor me (large or small sums all gratefully received) please dig deep and sponsor me online.

Donating through this site is simple, fast and totally secure. It is also the most efficient way to sponsor me: Stroke Association will receive your money faster and, if you are a UK taxpayer, an extra 28% in tax will be added to your gift at no cost to you.

So please sponsor me now!

Many thanks for your support.
