My friend Gareth has Angelman syndrome and as I wanted to learn more about the condition, last year I went on a conference which was organised by ASSERT.  The information that was provided was very informative and has enabled me to understand my friend better.  I also came away from the conference with the biggest smile on my face, as I met alot of individuals with Angleman syndrome whos love is infectious, i've never been in a room with so many happy, smiley, loving people in my life and its through those individuals and my friend that I have taken on this huge challenge to raise money for such a worthy cause.  Please find it in your hearts to support  me and ASSERT, I will be thinking of you every stride I take whilst in training and on the big day of the marathon xx
