Nadeem Afzal is raising money for Blood Cancer UK
Story
I propose to run for Blood Cancer UK to raise funds for the vital work they do to support patients fighting blood cancer.
My nephew Yusuf was diagnosed with leukaemia at the age of 11 and is still continuing his chemotherapy journey 3 years later. I have seen him become unwell through his gruelling treatment and the difficulties he has faced during this.
Advances in research have made treatment plans more successful over the years. Previously such patients would not survive and there is still a lot needed to be done.
