NDCS is the national charity dedicated to creating a world without barriers for deaf children and young people. We represent the interests and campaign for the rights of all deaf children and young people from birth to independence. NDCS believes that the family is the most important influence on a deaf child's development. NDCS supports the deaf child through the family as well as directly supporting deaf children and young people themselves.

My story

Our oldest son Dylan has been diagnosed as deaf. As a family we have decided to raise £4000 over the next year for the National Deaf Children's Society to say thankyou for their advice and support. Our efforts so far have involved lots of running (10k), sailing down rivers in a bass drum (well done Daddy!)

lots of cake baking, raffles (Thanks Grandma) and lots more we have yet to dream up.

Update: On May 14th Nancy heads off to Peru to trek the Inca trail. She is doing this to raise money for NDCS, make her boys proud and to prove to herself that she can climb those mountains!
