I recently decided that it was time to fulfill an ambition of mine...to run the London Marathon!!  Possibly a crazy idea but I'm going to try my best, to A. complete it and B. Raise money for a worthwhile charity...F.L.E.E.T (Front Line Emergency Equipment Trust).

FLEET is a charity formed in 1990 by ambulance staff with the aim to upgrade and standardise the level of equipment carried on ambulances in Cornwall.  Prior to the set up of FLEET each ambulance station had to raise funds for their own equipment, some stations were very successful but others didnt bother, so all of the vehicles became very different and the treatment you got depended upon the ambulance which responded to your call!  FLEET have strived to ensure that Cornwall's response vehicles are now equipped to the very highest standard.

There must have been a time when a friend or family member has needed an ambulance - it is through FLEETs hard work that they have the equipment needed to provide the best service possible!
