Robin Hood Half Marathon 2008 · 14 September 2008 ·

The Wildlife Trusts are here to make the world wilder and make nature part of life, for everyone. More than 850,000 members and 35,000 volunteers work together with their Wildlife Trust to stand up for nature on land and at sea: from mountain tops to the seabed, from hidden valleys to city streets.

Story

I've never been particularly fit, (Some of you Gloucester folk may remember the horror of the Bleep Test), and since after Rednock stopped forcing me to excersize after GCSE's, it only went down hill from there. However, with a hell of a lot of hard work, this year I've mananged to get in shape to do the Robinhood Half marathon, which is 13.1 miles. It's been a mammoth task, and to be honest I already feel like I've achieved something massive just training up for it! If you would like to donate though, that would be the absolute icing on the cake :)

I've picked this charity as it's dedicated to preserving British Wildlife of all kinds, something which I think is taken for granted.  If we don't take a stand to protect our natural heritige, it will dissappear under a building site. The picture is of a fox that stumbled into my back garden in Gloucester.
