The what...
I'm running the Bath Half Marathon, on March 16th 2008. This is the first time i've done a half marathon, or indeed any 'formal' sporting event. I had to buy some trainers especially. As you've no doubt guessed, i'm not a sporty kind of person, so I only started training late last year when my acceptance came in.
The why...
My father passed away last year, following a sudden massive heart attack while on holiday with my mother. They were enjoying a short holiday in Taunton, Somerset, and were walking in the Quantock Hills at the time.
Running a half marathon, with donations to the British Heart Foundation, seemed an appropriate gesture.
And the how...
Donating through this site is simple, fast and totally secure. It is also the most efficient way to sponsor me: British Heart Foundation will receive your money faster and, if you are a UK taxpayer, an extra 28% in tax will be added to your gift at no cost to you.
