26 April 09: DONE IT!!! And loved every single second, amazing crowds and amazing weather, everything was just great, didn't want it to stop and had enough energy at the end to make a sprint finish for the photograph, so much fun. Time: 04:51:45. Position 5.896 (females, out of 11.017) and age group 3713 (out of 6.923 females aged 18-39). Minutes per every 5 km: 31 (5k), 33 (10k), 33 (15k), 33 (20k), 36 (25k), 37 (30k), 39 (35k), 36 (40k). That means Emma T. (prediction: 04 hours 52 min) from the Kennedy has won the £25 amazon voucher, congratulations! Thanks to EVERYONE for supporting me, you are all great!

I am running the London Marathon in aid of PHABKIDS...tomorrow !

Training is hard but going well...did the last looong run on Sunday (5 April), 32.2 km/20 miles in 3h 42min...for more info see blog ulr below. 

I have been running regularly for the last two years now and have participated in shorter road and crosscountry races. I was inspired by last years' marathon; all these people who push themselves to their limits and raise an incredible amount of money for great causes. This is my first marathon and fundraising activity so I am really grateful for your support and sponsorship.

Please give as much as you can - just think about how much you were happy to spent last week on drinks/shopping/cigarettes/eating out/coffee&sweets...donate it and you can rest asssured that THIS actually WILL make a positive difference!

I chose to run for Phabkids because I have been working with disabled children before and know that they are often isolated. Phabkids funds and organises residential holidays for disabled and non disabled children to give them the opportunity to come together on equal terms. With over 200 Phab clubs all over the country, your donation can make a direct impact on improving the wellbeing and social inclusion of disabled children.
