<p>Hi All</p>
<p>As some of you know I work for a small charity up in Lancaster that supports vulnerable and disadvantaged children in the Niger Delta region of Nigeria. If you know me really well you will also know that I'll do whatever I can to get out of doing exercise....much preferring to have a nice glass of wine on the sofa!</p>
<p>Despite this I've decided to take on the huge challenge of climbing up the world's tallest freestanding mountain - Kilimanjaro in December....I'm so scared thinking it about it even now! Standing at 5985m (19,341ft) it will take me 6 days to get up and down. I'm personally dreading the summit night which starts at midnight with temperatures at upto -20. We won't reach the top until about 7am....and will then have to go straight back down!</p>
<p>The only thing that is keeping me going and determined to overcome this immense challenge is knowing that all the money I raise will make a huge difference to the children that Stepping Stones Nigeria supports in the Niger Delta some of whom have been abused and abondoned following witchcraft accusations, others who have been trafficked, and many others whose families live on less than $1 a day and therefore cannot enjoy the luxuries that you and I enjoy - clean water, food, shelter, education.</p>
