Thank you for visiting our fundraising page.

Tim and I embark on our 3rd Marathon on Sunday 7th October 2007, this time it is the Chicago Marathon. We have decided to support a close friend of my sister and brother in law, James Brown in his fantastic efforts to raise money for CRY. James lost his wife Katrina on July 2nd last year at the age of 30 - she died having just completed The British 10k in London from a minor undetected heart condition. James has been raising money for CRY for a year now - £83,000 in total.

Every week 8 'apparently' fit and healthy young people die in the UK from undiagnosed heart conditions, and Cardiac Risk in the Young, or CRY, are fighting to drive that figure down through a number of incredibly worth while projects.  These include raising awareness of cardiac risk in the young, funding medical research into sudden cardiac death, donating cardiac equipment to hospitals and doctor's surgeries, supporting a national heart screening programme, funding the centre for Sports Cardiology at the British Olympic Medical Centre, and helping families affected by sudden cardiac death.

Donating through this site is simple, fast and totally secure. It is also the most efficient way to donate: Cardiac Risk in the Young will receive your money electronically and, if you are a UK taxpayer, an extra 28% in Gift Aid will be added to your donation at no cost to you.

Please donate generously.

Many thanks for your support.
