Cheers guys and gals

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

Myself and my family are participating in the half marathon. They are all doing it for fitness and to support a key charity, who contribute so much to people with brain injuries and re-admitting them into the community.

I am doing the run for the same reason, but also because I am recovering from a serious assault. This occurred at my sisters wedding, out in Cyprus. We were all having a perfect time. Until one night we went out in Paphos, we were heavily intoxicated and we went to a club in the early hours, of 29/10/11. This one decision has significantly affected my 27th year, as my life has changed forever.

Ten local Cypriot men assaulted myself and my brother, who is also entering the race. They took us outside the club, far away from cameras and pulverised me, within an inch of my life.

Now I am running and defying the odds as I was expected to be significantly disabled. Instead this is my way of surviving and donating money to a formidable cause.

Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity and make sure Gift Aid is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a UK taxpayer. So it’s the most efficient way to donate - I raise more, whilst saving time and cutting costs for the charity.

So please dig deep and donate now.

About the charity

EVERY 90 SECONDS someone in the UK is admitted to hospital with an acquired brain injury (ABI). There are many possible causes, such as a fall, a road traffic accident, an assault, a tumour or a stroke. A brain injury can happen to anyone, at any time. When it does, we're here to help
