This fundraising page was created in memory of our baby boy, Nathan Antony Brown who was born on August 31, 2007 and passed away on October 23, 2007 after a brave 53 day battle against Cystic Fibrosis and Tracheobronchomalacia.
Nathan's extremely short life of 7 and half weeks was filled so much with pain which he didn't deserve. We promised him that his plight would not be in vain and that we would help raise awareness of CF together with money in his name to fund vital research and treatments. £6.5m is needed to fund gene therapy trials, to stop the lung damage which claims the lives of 90% of people who succumb to the disease, like Nathan. Although essentially these trials are too late to save Nathan, the funds you donate in his memory could enable sufferers to not only breathe like you and us but to look forward to the same length and quality of life that you and us take for granted.
Should you wish to learn more about Nathan, read his story, view his photo gallery or light a candle for him, then please visit his memorial webpage at www.nathan-brown.memory-of.com.
We held a 1st Birthday Ball in 2008 in memory of Nathan at the JJB Stadium in Wigan, Lancashire, which was a tremendous success, raising nearly £11,900 to be used towards a cure - but we need more and we need your help!
We held a 2nd Birthday Raffle in 2009 in memory of Nathan which was again supported readlly well raising £2,200 for the CF Trust. In 2010, we joined ovther teams competing in It's a Knockout in Cheadle and came second overall raising £894 for the CF Trust.
We are participating once again this year in It's a Knockout in Cheadle. Nine friends are joing Stephen (Nathan's Daddy) to form our team, Nathan's Champs, in which we hope to have an amazing family fun day whilst riaisng more needed finds. So if you can, please support us in our quest to raise a further £500.
Donating through this site is simple, fast and totally secure. It is also the most efficient way to donate: Cystic Fibrosis Trust will receive your money electronically and, if you are a UK taxpayer, an extra 28% in Gift Aid will be added to your donation at no cost to you.
Thank you for visiting our fundraising page. Please donate generously and many thanks for your support!
