The 29th October is desiganted National Maternity Day (NMD) in memory of Jake Canter who was tragically stillborn on that day in 2005 due to the terribly sad shortcomings in the maternity services as a result of serious under funding.
As a result we launched the National Maternity Support Foundation (NMSF) to ensure that others do not suffer as we have and to improve maternity care in the UK and to give Jake a lasting and positive legacy.
We are asking people to donate up to the equivalent of 'one day's pay' (all donations are gratefully received) in partnership with the Royal College of Midwives on NMD to help the NMSF achieve it's objectives. For more information please see www.jakescharity.org
(Donating through Justgiving is quick, easy and totally secure. It’s also the most efficient way to donate and the NMSF gets your money faster and, if you’re a UK taxpayer, Justgiving makes sure 25% in Gift Aid, plus a 3% supplement, are added to your donation)
Thank you in advance of your continuing support and generosity
