Story
Once again this year I will be riding the National Road Rally in aid of Mencap. I would be most grateful if you would sponsor my ride.
The National Road Rally is a motorcycle event involving riding 540 miles (870 km) overnight. The rally starts at 14:00 on Saturday 5th July, and ends at 10:00 the following morning. During that time, I will have to visit up to 25 control points all over England, finishing at Milton Keynes. This year I am entering for the "Platinum" award for the first time, which also involves taking a test of riding skill and knowledge on the Saturday morning. I have paid my own entry fees and will be paying for all my own petrol, so any donations you make will go straight to Mencap.
As an employee of BP, I am will be applying to the BP Foundation to match every £1 you give with £1 of their money. So go ahead and be generous to Mencap - your money goes twice as far if you donate it here.
The rally is now over, completed, and I'm pleased to say was a great success. I visited 22 places in England as far north as York, as far west as Manchester, and as far east as Wisbech. You can read all about my antics on my blog at http://nationalrally2008.blogspot.com/ . This site is still able to accept donations if you still want Mencap to receive your money.
