9th July, 2008:
I never did reach my goal last year, so...for a limited time, until 8th September, 2008, I'm re-opening my page to accept donations. EVEN ONE DOLLAR OR ONE POUND WILL HELP! The Justgiving site is totally secure, and officially endorsed by ACCORD HOSPICE. It's easy, all it takes is a few seconds out of your day to donate, and make the lives of hospice patients just a little bit better. YOU can make a difference for someone, make their last time here more comfortable and easier. Isn't that worth a dollar or two?

Thanks all, for your sponsorship. Sunday the 28th marks the 100th day, and consequentially, the 100th story. Sadly, I didn't meet my goal, but still, you folks were great, and helped raise 160 pounds for this most worthy of causes. Thank you again, for your fantastic generosity and your very kind emotional support, in helping me to keep this effort going.
Since I didn't meet my goal as planned, I will be keeping this page open to further donations, for another month or two. Thanks so very, very much! Nancy G.

A "drabble" is slang for a complete story, consisting of exactly 100 words--not as easy as it sounds. I propose to write 100 one-hundred word stories in 100 days, on my blog(s).

Unfortunately, I recently had to make the tough decision, to lower my fund raising goal. Though I have had sponsors, bless them, I am simply not getting enough traffic to my blog, to support the original 500 pound goal. Therefore, I deemed it necessary, in order to meet a set goal by 29th October, to lower my expectations to a more realistic level. If, in the next few weeks, site traffic picks up again, I would certainly reconsider going back to my original goal. My sincerest apologies to both Accord and my sponsors. Nancy.
