About our charity : Friends of Newick House Friends of Newick House
The Friends of Newick House are supporting Trek China 0907 which is raising funds for Newick House School and the National Autistic Society. The Trek will raise awareness of the challenges faced by children with autism, build friendships and establish links with a school for special needs children in Beijing.

I learned about autism when I volunteered to work with very autistic children at Smith Hospital at Henley on Thames in 1971 and 1972; as an alternative to games after a skiing accident wrecked my left knee.

That knee is still problematic, and I now have a bad lower back - this trip is going to be no easy ride for me...
