Story
I ran the London Marathon on 13th April 2008 to raise funds for the Stem Cell Appeal at Barts and the London. Despite picking up a knee injury during training, I surprised myself by managing it to run it (almost pain free) in 4 hours, 52 minutes. I really enjoyed the day.
I would like to thank everyone who has given me so much support during the past few months of my training, all of you who gave kind words of encouragement and everybody who sponsored me so generously.
The work being performed on Stem Cells in Cardiac Disease will signficantly increase understanding in this important field of research and will hopefully bring benefits to the many people with heart disease and heart failure.
Thanks again and best wishes,
Niall Campbell
