Please help us to raise money for Windyway Trust by sponsoring us to climb Napes Needle in the Lake District. This is the iconic climb which is widely regarded as the birth place of rock climbing. It was first ascended, solo, by Walter Parry Haskett-Smith in 1886 and it has always been our ambition to climb it. We will be going up during the Easter period and will climb it as long as the conditions are safe.
Update - we attempted the climb very early on Easter Monday but had to abort due to cold and looming cloud. Still, we now have a feel for what it will entail and will be back asap! - watch this space!!
