Story
Dear all,
On Sunday 28th September I hope to complete my 2nd Marathon in Berlin. Some of you may remember that 2 years ago I helped raise over £650 for Cancer Research by running the Chicago Marathon. I would have raised money for them again, but this time around the decision has been made to run for St Giles Hospice. This decision was made by our former friend and colleague Steve Kirby whilst under care at St Giles. Unfortunately Steve is no longer with us, but by continuing to raise money for St Giles it will help patients and families alike ensure that they have the best possible care. Having visited Steve at St Giles it is amazing to see the constant level of care and emotional support that patients receive. Even more so when considering that St Giles is run mainly on donations.
As usual, all money raised goes to St Giles, the cost of the trip and entry has been covered by myself. If people are not comfortable in giving bank/credit card details to the Just Giving website, I will be more than happy to take cash or a cheque. But unfortunately this will not be subject to Gift Aid (tax relief for UK Charities). From my experience of the Just Giving website it is quick, easy and doesn't send spam e-mails.
Many thanks in advance for your kind donation.
NeilDonating through Justgiving is quick, easy and totally secure. It’s also the most efficient way to sponsor me: St Giles Hospice gets your money faster and, if you’re a UK taxpayer, Justgiving makes sure 25% in Gift Aid, plus a 3% supplement, are added to your donation.
So please sponsor me now!
