Story

Thanks for visiting our sponsorship page.

The 3 Peaks Walk is a 25-mile hike from Horton-in-Ribblesdale that takes in the summits of Pen-y-Ghent, Whernside, and Ingleborough ... and a lot of moorland in between !

We are aiming to complete the walk with our friends Kate and Alan in around 10 hours on Sunday 17th June.

The United Kingdom Association for Medical Aid to Sri Lanka is a completely volunteer-based charity that raises money for, and organises, medical assistance in Sri Lanka. Having visited the country a few years ago, we can vouch for the fact that many Sri Lankans cannot afford the medical care they require. Neil's old English teacher John Lane, who passed away last year, was instrumental in founding the charity.

We will ask Medical Aid to Sri Lanka to use the money we raise on their Cataract project: each £30 raised will fund a cataract operation and help save someone from blindness.

Donating through this site is simple, fast and secure. United Kingdom Association for Medical Aid to Sri Lanka will receive your money quickly and, if you are a UK taxpayer, an extra 28% in tax will be added to your sponsorship at no cost to you.

So please sponsor us now!

Many thanks for your support.
