Stephanie Moore MBE set up the Bobby Moore Fund in partnership with Cancer Research UK, following the death of her husband, Bobby Moore, from bowel cancer. The Bobby Moore Fund is now a leader in the fight against bowel cancer, funding research that’s helping more people to survive than ever before.

Story

Thank you for visiting my page.

For those of you who are not football fans then you may not be aware that on the 18th April Dylan Tombides sadly lost his battle with cancer. Dylan was a member of the West Ham United academy and at just 20 years old had huge potential with a whole life ahead of him.

I was at a very emotional Upton Park on the 19th April where a minutes applause was held before the game and on the 38th minute (his squad number) which has made me determined to try to raise as much as possible for the Bobby Moore fund on behalf of Cancer Research.

This is not the only time cancer has effected me, my Granddad who sadly passed away last year lost a lung a number of years ago due to cancer and I in recent years I have also lost both my Nan's to cancer.

Therefore I am asking for you to give what you can to help cancer research find a cure so we do not have to keep reading about these stories.

I will be running the race wearing my West Ham shirt with Dylans name and number on the back.
