OCD-UK is a leading national charity and an independent service-user led organisation working with and for children and adults affected by Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder (OCD).

Story

Thank you for visiting my fundraising page. Please dig deep and sponsor me online.  As you may or may not know, two years ago I was diagnosed with M.E. which knocked me for six, or maybe 7 and a bit.  After a long wrestling match and giving myself a stiff talking to I have decided to do what I do best (i.e. be a stubborn northerner) and say "sod you" to the fatigue and pain (I have replaced one of those words in the interests of decency).

I have been getting a lot of support and have now managed to get running again and have built up to a huge 1 mile (the old regular runs of 15 miles plus seem a long time ago).  As part of this I am committing myself (or perhaps should be commited) and will be doing the London 10K race on the 6th of July 2008.  Yikes!

To help with my motivation in the dark ME days I want to raise money for OCD-UK who are a charity that has supported my wife Sal for many years.  Donating through this site is simple, fast and totally secure. It is also the most efficient way to sponsor me: OCD-UK will receive your money faster and, if you are a UK taxpayer, an extra 28% in tax will be added to your gift at no cost to you.

So please sponsor me now!

Many thanks for your support.  If you can be there on the day then let me know and I'll look out for you.  I will always stay to the left hand side of the route. The route can be found at here.  I'll get a photo on here too so you know who you are cheering for as I cross the finish line first (ahem) well I can but dream.  Take care.
