Story

Hi,

The Challenge is over, but was great, I really enjoyed every minute of the journey, and would like to thank all of you that have supported me. Your donations have been fantastic of which we have rasied around £1500 in total so far, but its not to late to donate to the cause!!!!  I will try and speak to all of you that has donated, but once again I really appreciate your donations so Thanks.

Thanks for visiting my fundraising page, my challenge is to cycle from London to Paris in three days covering 300km to take place in July 2009.

DAY 1: Cycle from central London through Surrey with views of South Downs to Newhaven.  Ferry to Dieppe. 98km
DAY 2: Quiet tree lined roads and sleepy Normandy villages to Gournay en Bray.  Some challenging hills to conquer en-route! 80km
DAY 3: Ride from Gournay en Bray to outskirts of Paris. Reach city centre via the famous Bois de Boulogne park.  Finish under Eiffel Tower. 114km

My Mother-In-Law Maggie was diagnosed with breast cancer last year and this challenge is something we had discussed and planned together. Sadly, Maggie lost her battle against cancer on 28th March 2009 and this has made me more determined to complete this challenge in her memory.

I felt I wanted to help her and others in some way by raising funds for the local hospice ensuring the care is there for those who may need it for their recovery.

I know many of us have been touched in one way or another with Cancer and other related illnesses, therefore all donations received will provide funds for the local hospice to continue to give support and comfort to those affected.

Donating through Justgiving is quick, easy and totally secure. It’s also the most efficient way to sponsor me: Countess of Brecknock Hospice Trust gets your money faster and, if you’re a UK taxpayer, Justgiving makes sure 25% in Gift Aid, plus a 3% supplement, are added to your donation.

Thank you for supporting me, all donations are gratefully received.
