My story

Thank you for visiting my fundraising page.

On 8 April 2009 I am taking part in the North Pole Marathon in aid of the Help for Heroes Charity. This race, which is a full marathon, takes place at the geographical North Pole and is the only footrace in the world which is run on water where the temperatures go as low as -30 degrees.

I chose to support this Charity following the death of my brother-in-law, Capt John McDermid, Royal Highland Fusiliers, who having served over 20 years in the military, was killed in action on 14 November 2007 in Afghanistan.
