Flora London Marathon 2003 · 13 April 2003 ·

Every two hours someone in the UK is paralysed by a spinal cord injury. It can happen to anyone at any time and no one is prepared for how it will change their life. Aspire is a national charity that provides practical help, supporting spinal cord injured people from injury to independence.

Story

Hello,

It has come around very very quickly and the past few weeks have not gone according to plan, I had ankle injuries and a few other problems so I bought some new trainers spent over £100 on them in the hope that they would be great. They have just given me blisters from hell and after one 10 mile plus run the blisters took 1 and half weeks to get better. Oh well cant moan as I am really looking forward to the big day. For those that would like to watch me I am planning on passing the 20 mile (I bloody hope so) point at 12.30 to 1.30 the nearest station is on the Docklands Light railway Lime house causeway I shall look out for people on the right, a good place may be the lucozade stand at 19.7 miles. I aim to complete the marathon in 4.5 hours.

If you haven't had the chance to donate yet please do so, the guys at Aspire really do spend the proceeds wisely and they truely deserve every penny.

Take care and thank you for everyones kind support.
P.S. thanks to Chris Morgan that has sponsered me and has insentivised the earning that he will give if I finish under a certain time.
