Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

Yes I am doing the Great North Run in September and for someone like myself who is not built for running its a bit of a challenge.

I'm raising money for a fantastic cause, as part of the team for Eve's Journey. Eve is a lovely little girl who really enjoys life and doing all the things that other 6 year olds love, but as she has cerebral palsy its sometimes a challenge for her to fully get involved. She's a very courageous girl and always has a cheeky little smile, but you can really feel her frustration when she cant do the things she wants to.

Eve recently spent two weeks with us while she attended the Footsteps centre in Oxford and I've seen first hand the difference that this unique therapy has made. She was so happy to show me how she could stand and walk up the stairs with my help to join in with my girls - it nearly made me cry.

The goal is to raise enough cash for Eve to continue this progress by attending the footsteps centre two or three times more over the next year. Each three week block of therapy costs around £1500, so that's what I have set as my fundraising goal.

I also really wanted to run this in memory of my Mum and Annas mum both of who absolutely adored kids, so by doing this for Eve I hope that I'm making them both proud.

Please give generously and I promise to run my little socks off!
